Tweak Network – Firefox addon for faster and speedy Firefox

Just a few minutes before, I wrote here about network tweaks that can be performed on Firefox to speed up internet browsing, to load pages faster. These are very efficient tweaks and easy to perform. However, if you want to make your life even easier then Edwin martin has written this super Firefox-Addon, Tweak Network 1.1.1. This add-on provides you with a simple interface to change values for various network parameters and provides a “Power” profile and a default profile. the default allows you to get back to the default firefox config while Power profile provides preset values for optimised performance. Values ofcourse can be changed anytime.

The “tweak Network” addon works on Firefox 1.0 & 2.0 versions of the browser. Simply click the “Install Now” button and complete the installation. Restart Firefox for changes to take effect.

Click Tools and select “Tweak Network Settings”

This opens the Settings window. If you want to use the preset optimized “Power” profile, simply click “power” button and click Apply/OK or change values as desired.

Click anytime “Default” to load firefox defaults.
