DriverViewer – List all installed drivers on Windows

DriverView is a very simple powerful and a very useful system utility for Windows. As the name implies, DriverView scans the system and lists all the drivers installed on the system with extensive information about each of the drivers.


The information includes

Manufacturers & Product Name
Driver Version & type
Creation & Modification date
Driver file & its path
Memory Address

DriverView is not one of those day to day applications that you need but very certainly a helpful utility when troubleshooting system or driver issues or when you have to deal with Technical Support engineers.

DriverView comes with a simple Explorer type interface where you can sort the list by any of the above information (like product name) or re-arrange the colums of display. An even more useful feature is that  you can select one or more (or ALL) from the list and export it to a nice HTML report or to a simple Text file.

DriverView runs on Windows Vista, XP and earlier and no install is necessary. There are 32-bit and 64-bit versions available for download. Simply download and unzip the DriverView package fromthe following links and run the EXE.

    Hi
    Tried out the DriverView and found that this utility reported the following for the 1394ohci.sys:

    1394ohci.sys 6.1.7600.16385 (win7_rtm.090713-1255) Microsoft Corporation 2010-11-21 05:23:47 2010-11-21 05:23:47 C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\1394ohci.sys

    If I check against the file properties on the same machine I get the folloving result:
    1394ohci.sys 6.1.7601.17514 2010-11-21 04:23

    If i check with the properties in the Device Manager I get:
    Driver assembly version: 6.1.7601.17514
    Driver assembly date: 2006-06-21 02:00:00

    My machine is in Time Zone (UTC+01:00) Amsterdam,…

    So the my question is: Why does this utility show me an other file version? It is not on may machine, or is it?
