How to use Internet Explorer intranet sites in Compatibity View – Windows 7

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to Windows Reference RSS feed Thanks for visiting!

In regards to running IE 7 in Win 7 all you need to do is open IE8 go to tools —- compatibility view settings; from here you can specify what sites you whis to run in compatibility mode, or you can select from the following check boxes

“Include updated website lists from Microsoft”
“Display interanet sites in Compatibity View”
“Display all websites in Compatibility View”

If you select option 3 it will run all sites in compatibility mode, this is not recommended since most of the major sites are IE8 compatible.
