Hey got the same error BUT... If you are running with MS-OFFICE 2007 here is another way of getting your mail...
Close Outlook, on Control Panel, open Mail, click e-mail accounts and select the default e-mail account in use, then click Data Files and Select again your Mailbox, Click Settings, Advanced, untick "Use Cached Exchange Mode" click apply and respond OK, Click OFFLINE FOLDER SETTINGS, Click Disable OFFLINE USE and say YES, Click again OFFLINE FOLDER FILE SETTINGS, Browse for your .OST file and Click OK, Tick "Use Cached Exchange Mode" and respond OK to all the pop up messanges and Close everything. Open Outlook as normal. Your mailbox will be .OST will be loaded then export the whole Mailbox to a .PST File... Revert the changes to the old settings. Open outlook again as normal, It shouldn't be loading the .ost now. Then Click file open outlook data file. then u r done!!! Hope I helped...

for those who haven't figured it out. after converting the pst using the program and getting the error - use scanpst.exe (search on your computer for it : its a microsoft utility to fix corrupted psts) and see if that fixes your problems. worked for me.

I have received an: Internal error (code=00000003)
Message and nothing happened to my OST file, except, that I had a backup of it with PST extenstion, which is still an unacceptable format to Outlook 2007. The OST file comes from an Outlook 2003
