Disable Reading Layout in Microsoft Word

If you are opening a document primarily to read it, reading layout view optimizes the reading experience. Reading layout view hides all toolbars except for the Reading Layout and Reviewing
When you open Word documents from other sources, such as email attachments, they are automatically displayed in a “Reading Layout”.While this layout is supposed to make the documents easier to scan through as it repaginates them to better fit your screen, many people dislike this feature as it can mess up tables of contents, lists, tables, and long paragraphs.
Disable this feature use the following steps
Open MS Word Document go to Tools–>Options

Click the General tab and uncheck “Allow starting in Reading Layout” and click on ok
