VLC media player is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, …) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols. It can also be used as a server to stream in unicast or multicast in IPv4 or IPv6 on a high-bandwidth network.



Procedure to follow

Open VLC Media Player.From the menu, click on Tools and select Preferences.

When the Preferences menu appears, click the Video button to bring up the General Video Settings.Check the Fullscreen checkbox and click the Save button.

  1. I really like VLC. It is an excellent player. Has many features that I do not find elsewhere. One thing I would like to do with it is display geometry patterns that I choose (condensing, expanding, dissolving, etc). I wonder if there is a way to do that with VLC? Thanks.

  2. or, just click at “view” tab and uncheck the “Fulscreen Interface F11″
