We saw here how to configure a Wireless Network using WLAN Autoconfig (default Wireless configuration utility in Windows Vista) in Windows Vista when there is a network is available to select and connect. Here, the Wireless Access Point is broadcasting its SSID (Wireless Network Name) for Wireless clients to view when they scan.

Configure Wireless in Windows Vista with WLAN Autoconfig
WLAN Autoconfig is the utility introduced in Windows Vista to configure your Wireless Network Adapter in your PC Laptop. This is the equivalent of Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC) service in Windows XP. A name is not necessary.. is it?
This can be used instead of using the Wireless Network Configuration provided by the manufacturer like Intel. Advantage of using WLAN Autoconfig is it being a native operating system utility and the fact that there isn’t another bloated software that you don’t have to install and run on your computer. A minor downside is that advanced configurations (which we never use anyway) may not be possible.
Make Firefox look like Internet Explorer 7 with Vista-aero
This Firefox theme gives your favourite browser the look of Vista’s Aero interface. Installing Vista-aero takes two steps. Downloading the theme adds an unwanted .TXT extension. You must remove .TXT to leave it with the correct .JAR extension. Then you merely drag the file onto Firefox’s theme dialog. The theme will quickly install and prompt you to restart the browser.
AccessEnum - Displays directory and registry permissions in Vista/XP/2003/2008
AcessEnum from Microsoft’s Sysinternals tool collection enables you to list user accesses to a tree of directories or registry keys. With Windows Explorer or a registry editor you can only view access rights for a particular object, a certain folder, for example. If a directory has many subfolders it is difficult to figure out if access rights have been configured properly.

Highlight the document text that you want to show up as table of contents major sections. Then, hold down CONTROL, ALT, and the 1 key. This will change that text’s style to what is called Heading 1. This text stands out from the rest of the text and is good for signifying major sections of the document.
