hey for notebooks is there anyother way to get “taskkill.exe” to work ? I have tried to get it off the exact same notebook yet it still does not work my knowledge isn’t too great on this sort of thing can anyone please explain to me in simple terms how to get “taskkill.exe” to work and how important is it that it works ?

For Fix for ” Windows cannot find ssvichosst” section reg add…. is giving error like invalid key. Actually we are missing the quotes in shell,REG_SZ and Explorer.exe. Bellow is the correct command syntax. Got in another forum.

Fix for ” Windows cannot find ssvichosst”

1. See that you are logged on with a user that has administrator rights.
2. Hit Windows Key + R
3. Type in the run dialog box the following command: CMD.exe
4. Type the following command in the black box (command prompt)
REG ADD “HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon” /v “Shell” /t “REG_SZ” /d “Explorer.exe” /f
5. Close everything & reboot your machine.

but i have a question for you, still the error message still appears when i restart my computer? any mistakes that I’d done? i just did what you said, and after i paste it i close the window (i think not a good thing at all). what should i do? thank man! appreciate it alot.

Haven’t tried yet that fix on my friend’s infected PC, but there is another error that comes whenever you restart windows even though previously removed from startup list,something like “could not find Temp2.exe”. I have also noticed some other files that come along with autorun.inf: host.exe, Ow.com. I could restore regedit.exe, Task Manager, folder options but I could not install nod32 and I have problems installing Canon printer through USB

This is a genuine fix by some very smart and generous dude. Thank you. forget the expensive fixes that companies try to sell you. This is the one for anyone with reasonable abilities.
