Howto Change the location of Favorites folder in Vista/XP/2000

This tutorial will explain howYou want to relocate your favorites folder to another location/drive

For Vista Users

  • First you need to Open a WIndows Explorer
  • Now Navigate to C:\Users\{your_username}\Favorites\
  • Right click the folder > Properties > Location > Change the location path to the one you require
  • Apply > Answer whether you want to move the contents of the old location to the new one > OK

For XP/2000 Users

  • Go to Start—> Run—> Regedit
  • Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellFolders
  • Change the Favorites value from,

C:\documents and settings\{your_username}\Favorites

To the new location.
