How to change default “Program Files” folder Location in Win server 2008

By default all programs when you try to install under Program Files folder if you want to change the loaction of this use the following procedure.
First you need to make sure you have the complete registry backup of your server.
- Go to Start—>Run type regedit click ok
- Now you need to navigate the following key from left pane
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion
- Now You’ll see a ProgramFilesDir entry in you right pane. Change that to whatever is desired. Reboot your server for the change to take effect.
