Program compatibility is a mode in Windows that lets you run programs written for earlier versions of Windows. Most programs written for Windows XP also work in this version of Windows, but some older programs might run poorly or not run at all. If an older program doesn’t run correctly, start the Program Compatibility Wizard to simulate earlier versions of Windows.

Click on Start button , clicking Control Panel

Once control panel opens clickon Programs

Now click Use an older program with this version of Windows under Programs and Features

This will start program compatibility wizard click next

Select where your program is located for testing and click next.In this example i am selecting first option.

Select the program and click next

Select compatibility mode click next

Select display settings for the program select next

Select if you want to Run program as administrator click next

Summary of your selection click next

Now if your program works properly you should see your program screen otherwise it will display error in my case it was working fine click next

You want to send this data to MS select your option and click next

Program compatibility check finished wizard click finished

Note:- Do not use the Program Compatibility Wizard on older antivirus programs, disk utilities, or other system programs, because it might cause data loss or create a security risk.
