i have the same problem, when the recovery option pop up, but there are no operating system.. i know i got to hit the load drivers bar, but what drivers do i have to load????

Thanks a lot … this is solved my problem loading Windows 7 … I was getting the message “Bootmgr image is corrupt. The system cannot boot”.

i used Command Prompt option to solve the issue as the normal steps “Startup repair” couldn’t solve the problem and i could then reboot normally.

I also had the “missing bootmgr” problem. I am using the recovery disks from Toshiba. Follow all the steps with the first CD. Then I am asked to insert my next CD. I get the window “Recovery of Factory Default Software” and it says “Copying Files. Please wait …” After a while it just says that it can nnot find the destination.

The Destination you have specified does not exist. ..

I tried doing this as well as install recovery disk; however, I do not get an operating system option. Additionally, tried via Command Prompt. Said operation completed successfully, restarted, still have BOOTMGR is missing. Any other suggestions?
