Automatically close non-responsive programs in XP
With a small registry tweak, Windows XP can be set to automatically close any program that ‘stops responding’ (crashes), eliminating the need for you to use the task manager to close down the offending software manually.
Procedure to follow
Click on Start—>Run type regedit click ok
Navigate the following key from left pane
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\ Desktop
Now you need to double click on AutoEndTasks key from the right pane and change the value from 0 to 1
