Customize File Details View in XP/2000

Windows Explorer allows you to choose from different views when displaying files and folders on your computer. The available views include: Thumbnails, Tiles, Icons, List, and Details. If you choose the Details view, several columns will be displayed beside the name of each folder and file providing additional information.


You can customize the various details that are displayed for your folders and files. Follow this procedure to do this

Open Windows Explorer go to view click on Choose details

From the following screen you need to select the option you want and click on show after completing your selection click on ok

Your choices will then be shown the next time you view the files in the folder you are working in.
