Great tweaks, especially for speeding up the downloads. I’ve found it useful, especially with HP laptops that come loaded with junk programs.

for this part: “LogonType”=dword:00000000
i can’t put the whole value “dword:00000000″
it won’t even let me type the letter “w”
do i just put the eight zeroes? let me know pls.

FYI – The instruction to set- “NegativeCacheTime”=dword:00000000″ conflicts with info on another site who say to delete that line… (See “HelpWithWindows.com” “Adjust Windows XP DNS Cache Settings”)

Secondly, When I diabled the Welocome Screen, it did go faster, but because I have a wireless antenna (my conclusion), even though I am a single user not using or needing a password, the password screen comes up with the new “0″ setting. I put it back to “1″ and it all works right again (alas with Welcome Screen, but no password screen.

Thanks for all the other suggestions… They worked well.
